You don't need an adult to cross dangerous caves with little to no supplies. It'd be hypocritical of them to require one if you wish to stop travelling for some time.

Nope! You can pay the monthly payments with a week of part-time at the Center. I'm in Olivine, and I didn't even have to pay extra for a seaside!

It's actually really scary how cheap renting a house here is. All things considered, if you're staying somewhere for an entire month, it's definitely going to be cheaper to rent a house then actually rent out a hotel room every night. This was a rather shocking and wallet strengthening revelation when I discovered it!

... ah, but... I never took part in the survival camp, but while I was there traveling... It looked pretty intense. Like, "Run until you can't run anymore" intense.

I never stay at inns or hotels, anyway. Usually I just camp, like, right outside town, but it's getting cold now.

[ She grins. ] I could use it! I've been training my Pokémon so much, but I fell behind on my training, since there's no coach or captain or practices here.

For real? You must really be the outdoorsy type then, huh?

Ehh... Even if I ever fell behind on my nightly routine, I doubt I'd ever want to put myself through a regime like that... Building up slowly has worked pretty well for me.

I like it outside better than inside. You can play tennis better outside! And run, and climb trees.... It's a lot more fun.

And anyway, I don't wanna build up slowly... I can take a lot! We trained pretty hard back home.

If they were willing to rent one to a handful of fourteen-year-olds, I can't imagine they'd make a great deal of fuss over the age of their potential tenants.

[Except when you figure that every one of those fourteen-year-olds looks like they're about THIRTY but hey.]

My rent comes to P9000 a month, though that may vary from city to city; I've only ever rented in Goldenrod, which is considerably more developed than some of the other towns.

Some sis said she can make her month's rent in a week, working part-time. I figure if I work a couple hours a day, like... five days a week, I can do rent and still have some cash, besides. Got instant noodles to buy and stuff.

That's right, they won't let you work more than four hours a day on account of your age. On the other hand, your friend is right that it's a fairly reasonable endeavor to make the month's rent — at P650 per hour at the Pokemon Center, for example, you'd need to work fourteen hours in a month to make a month's rent. Anything above and beyond that would be your own profit.
