Nope! Definitely don't need it. This is just gonna be the normal tour, not the crazy level-100 one, so I'm basically overleveled for everything. It's almost boring, but at least it's something to do, right?

[There were two types of gym challenges? That's new to Shiraishi. He'll mentally note that down.]

Yeah... and if you want a challenge later on, you can challenge the level 100 ones, right?

Exactly! But it'd be pretty lame to do the level-100 tour and then come back for the normal one. That's why I'm doing it this way.

Makes sense. It's the same thing with doing the gym challenge the "right way"... I mean, I wouldn't want to start from the strongest one and go to the first one.

Nah, probably not. I did the Johto gyms mostly in order. But since I'm so overleveled for Kanto's regular tour anyway, I'm just doing whatever.

Ever though of training a new team and trying the challenge with them, maybe? Would make it interesting, too.

Yeah, it would, huh? When my weaker Pokémon get strong enough to maybe face the gym, I'll do it with them, instead of with my stronger ones.

And maybe when I've gotten aaaaall the badges, I'll try a solo challenge! Like in the games!

It's good experience for them as well, I'm sure.

Solo challenge? As in with one Pokémon?

Yep! I'd hatch a Pokémon and train it up from a baby and beat every gym with it!

It will be a tough decision on what Pokémon to choose.

You'd have to pick something with a strong type combination. Something with no weaknesses, or just one. And you'd wanna be able to teach them a lot of different typed moves, too. A good ability like Volt Absorb or something else that makes them immune to certain typed moves would be good, too.

[ She's obviously done some thinking. ]

In the games it was pretty easy, 'cause you just ended up way overleveled. I think it's more complicated here.

[Yeah, Shiraishi's pretty impressed on how much thought she's given to it... and of all the things you need to pay attention to.]

Yep. It's exciting, though, 'cause it's more of a challenge.

I can imagine. I mean, I've never actually played the games, but a real situation like this compared to any games is just more exciting and fun.
