Olivine next. Steel-types should be, like, cake. Then Cianwood, and then we'll fly to Mahogany. Man, I can't wait 'til we can fly.

—Hey, what do you guys know about new evolutions? Like, some of the original hundred and fifty have evos and pre-evos and junk that I've never seen before. Are there a lot of 'em?

Snorlax has a pre-evolution! I was kinda surprised to find that out since Munchlax is totally different from Snorlax. Puchi used to be so active before evolving! But he's still the best.

Goldenrod sells those Pokédolls, right? Get her a Clefairy or something. Ghosts really freak her out; she's been, like, hiding under the bed ever since we got here.

[Oh, that's right, Ecruteak is the Ghost Gym. Not one Yagyuu's looking forward to himself, frankly — which actually makes him a little more sympathetic to Sakura's plight than he might otherwise be.

He does nod a little, though, shifting his gear into his other hand as he gets more comfortable, possibly in anticipation of a longer chat. He's not sure if it'll happen, but they are just little girls, and Miyuki sounds like she might need it.]

[There's no telling what she's thinking, from Yagyuu's perspective, but it's also pretty hard to miss that she is thinking, which vaguely amuses him, and he makes no move to interrupt it. So he covers a short delay by pretending something's caught his attention off-screen, giving her that extra moment to ponder before his words presumably draw her back into the present.]

It's better that you have someone with you when you're traveling. We were always happier when our junior traveled in a group, rather than on his own.

[Usually so that there'd be someone to hold accountable and summarily murder if he were to get hurt, but that's beside the point.]
