CURRENT PARTY
LAST UPDATED 11/25.2012

Deerling
"Flower"
statsmoveset

obtained: 11/24.2012;
Other Father
ot: Sakura Kinomoto
ability: sap sipper
level: 15
nature: calm;
alert to sounds
holding: no item
tackle [NRM]
camouflage [NRM]

growl [NRM]
sand attack [GRD]

double kick [FGT]
leech seed [GRS]

Sakura got her Deerling just outside of Violet. She'd planned on battling and catching it, but the Deerling came right up to her, nuzzled her side, and followed her around. Its gentle, kind personality and friendly, flowery looks reminded her of her mother, and of The Flower card. She was torn between which to name it after, but when she left Johto and Other Father took the Deerling in, he settled on calling her 'Flower.' When Other Father left Johto, too, Miyuki continued the trend.

Munchlax
"Totoro"
statsmoveset

obtained: 12/18.2012;
Fluttershy
ot: Miyuki Chitose
ability: thick fat
level: 1
nature: gentle;
capable of taking hits
holding: no item
metronome [NRM]
odor sleuth [NRM]
tackle [NRM]

Miyuki bought Totoro as an egg from Fluttershy on one of the infamous 'blackout weekends' — which Miyuki remembers enough of to recall having spent most of it with Totoro in Goldenrod, which is how the Munchlax got his name.

Haxorus
"Ripper"
statsmoveset

obtained: 09/02.2012;
Nero
ot: Nero
ability: mold breaker
level: 76
nature: bold;
likes to thrash about
holding: no item

swords dance [NRM]

dragon rage [DRG]
dual chop [DRG]
false swipe [NRM]

guillotine [NRM

Ripper's parents were Miyuki's own Godzilla-bro and Axe-bro. She sent the egg to Nero in a fit of tsun. Nero, being a jerk, then proceeded to scare her half to death doing crazy tricks no one should ever attempt with anything so breakable. As a result, baby Ripper is now something of a daredevil.

Ripper came back to Miyuki when Nero left, and his parents are delighted to have him back — and very proud of him. (He could do without the mother-hen business Axe-bro is into, though.)

Meganium
"Little Foot"
statsmoveset

obtained: 09/25.2012;
Kuranosuke Shiraishi
ot: Miyuki Chitose

petal dance [GRS]
body slam [NRM]

Little Foot was given to Miyuki as an egg by Shiraishi, as a sort of 'happy anniversary' present celebrating her arrival in Johto a year ago. He's a bright Pokémon, very intelligent, and likes to explore. He's happiest when he's learning something, and he takes well to learning tricks.

Persian
"Mi-chan"

nasty plot [DRK]
night slash [DRK]

Mi-chan was inherited from Miyuki's brother, Senri, when he left Johto (hence her name). She likes to be close to people, is very friendly, and is also somewhat motherly. You don't hurt the people she's attached to, and since Senri disappeared, she's that much more protective of her new trainer. If you're cold she will absolutely be willing to curl up with you, and she loves, loves, loves to play. If you have something round or shiny? Well. She wants it. She's very gentle and will never use her claws to hurt humans, but the shiny thing will be hers unless she's scolded.

Slowking
"Bro"
statsmoveset

obtained: 03/01.2012;
Bunta Marui

Bro was bought from Marui in exchange for a cake. He was basically your average Slowpoke: a little late on the uptake and lazy as fuck. Miyuki evolved him into a Slowking after facing off against Roxas in the second round of the tournament in November 2012 and meeting his Slowking there. For all he seemed disinclined to evolve into a Slowbro, he readily accepted the King's Rock and the evolution that followed.

Bro makes a comfortable pillow for young Pokémon and warm (if inattentive) guardian for incubating eggs. Unfortunately, he has a tendency to float away if the party is anywhere near water, and frequently has to be retrieved by Haku-bro. He gets lost in thought frequently and forgets where he is or what he's doing, which makes him less than ideal for battling.

Miyuki scored her Riolu from an egg mishap between Nero and Yagyuu. Funnily enough, he mother-hens her the same way the both of them do, and spends inordinate amounts of time trying to prevent her from doing extraordinarily stupid things. He's not quite as tsun about it as Nero and Yagyuu are, though.

Golurk
"Shy-bro"

Miyuki bought Shy-bro off of Atsuro Kihara after she saw him flying on his Golurk. Shy-bro's not so sure about flying. In fact, he's not so sure about battling. He's really not very sure about anything, but when it comes right down to it, he's like a fat kid at prom: he's happy just to be there.

Garchomp

Miyuki's Gible was bought from Saber. She'd previously seen Riku and Xion's Garchomps, and correctly recognized Gible as the pre-evo.

Because of Miyuki's glitch-disappearance, her Gible egg actually took seven weeks to hatch. Mysteriously (or perhaps as a result), Chomp-bro is considerably heavier-set than most Garchomps.

Tyranitar

Godzilla-bro is a sweet-tempered Tyranitar, which is, uh. A little strange. When he was a wee Larvitar, he didn't like to battle because he was afraid of getting hurt, so Miyuki often had to coax him into fighting. Now that he's a giant badass Tyranitar, though, he doesn't really sweat that small stuff anymore. (But he's still sweet.)

Miyuki gave him an Everstone to hold when she found out that his second form is a cocoon. She then took it back when he reached level 53, so that he only spent one level as a Pupitar before becoming a Tyranitar.

Axe-bro arrived in an egg on Valentine's Day 2012, and hatched shiny. While well-behaved in general, she's very possessive and protective of her team members, especially now that she's larger than most of them. She tends to stick close to Godzilla-bro, who has essentially been her mentor and babysitter since she was very small. He and Haku-bro are the only members of the team she doesn't seem inclined to defend at the drop of a hat.

VJ needs more power is incredibly driven. His arrogance matches his ambitions, but he remains incredibly intelligent, with a good head for strategy. He has a tendency to disregard orders in battle, but he usually wins, and Miyuki is content to let him do his thing. He finally decided to evolve after finishing off the Cerulean gym as a Houndour, pretty much just to prove he could.

Miyuki received VJ when Nero left, along with one other Pokémon. She was heartbroken, of course, but she found in VJ a suitable companion as well as a means of venting her frustration: by crushing weaker Pokémon with the level 100 Houndoom.

A gentle giant, Buster has matured quite a bit from the shy, retiring Bagon he was when he and Nero first met. Evolving did him quite a bit of good in terms of self-confidence, but he'd still rather nap than fight. He's more willing to butt in if he feels Miyuki isn't playing nice with others, which is... not nearly as often as he felt Nero wasn't playing nice with others.

Miyuki came into ownership of Buster when Kyrie left Johto, nearly a month after Nero himself left. Buster had been with Kyrie until she disappeared.

Miyuki received Rude-bro in a joint Breeding Centre purchase with Nero during their anniversary sale. She was aptly named; like most Deino, she went around biting and bodyslamming things as a matter of course. That included Miyuki — but only once. Haku-bro has since ensured that it won't happen again. Thanks to that incident, Haku-bro is the only one Rude-bro will listen to.

The one reprieve the team has gotten is that Rude-bro hatched without any teeth. She required special food, since she couldn't chew. When she evolved into a Zweilous, however, she also cut a set of wicked sharp teeth, which she takes great and inappropriate glee in using on anyone who comes near.

Tank-bro was received from Rose Lalonde in exchange for two Snorunt eggs. He's very placid, but not lazy by any means — he follows just about any order he's given, no matter who gives it. Miyuki spends a lot of time lazing in the branches of his tree, which is remarkably large; the branches shade nearly his entire shell.

Miyuki got a Tauros for free from Tavros Nitram. He's a little on the petite side for a Tauros, and he doesn't seem to get angry quite as quickly or as often as most — he's largely content to stand around and eat (grass, carpet, clothes, whatever). He does, however, fly into a rage when attacked, which makes him handy for battle, and a hazard around Rude-bro and Tough-bro.

Tough-bro was a freebie from the Breeding Center, received with a joint purchase that Miyuki made with Nero during the anniversary sale. He spends most of his time punching his teammates, most of whom are at such a high level that they don't mind, and at least one of whom always immediately bodyslams him back, despite being at a lower level. He's very good-natured, and doesn't hit to bruise, but usually bruises, anyway.

Mystral formerly belonged to Sarah, and was left in Miyuki's care when the younger girl disappeared. Miyuki never learned her name, so she calls her 'Ice-bro.' Mystral is quiet and reserved, but puts up with her more exuberant teammates well.

She evolved the first weekend of February, right before Miyuki left Goldenrod City. Miyuki would have preferred a Glalie, but she remembers Sarah as a pretty girly girl, and she thinks that Sarah might have preferred a Froslass. She evolved Mystral with a Dawn Stone in her memory.

Haku was a Christmas gift from Miyuki's brother. He hatched New Year's Day, right before Miyuki found out that Tezuka had left. As such, one of his earliest memories is Miyuki crying her eyes out. He rarely leaves her side, and seems to have taken it upon himself to keep her cheerful and upbeat. Whenever they're near water, he fetches seashells and sand dollars for her, and occasionally brings back friendly water Pokémon as well.

He's very friendly and polite with trainers, but if he somehow comes under the impression that you made Miyuki sad, boy howdy, you'd best watch your fucking back.

Zap-bro is destined to be a Jolteon was Thunderstoned at level 8. She was a gift from the Breeding Center, and Miyuki soloed Falkner's gym with her. She's a loving Pokémon, devoted to her trainer, and she tries her very best at everything. As she's grown stronger, she's become very protective of Miyuki — never to the point of violence against trainers, but she always stands between Miyuki and a stranger.

She's watchful over any eggs or young Pokémon that come into Miyuki's care, keeping the other, larger Pokémon away from them. If it doesn't belong to Miyuki, though, she's less than concerned about it.

Red was a Christmas gift from Shiraishi. He hatched a few days later and promptly set a blanket on fire. Luckily, no one was hurt. Miyuki's not really holding her breath for the next time, though. He's a bit of a hothead (pun intended), and isn't very careful with his tail flame.

Since becoming a Charizard, he's mellowed out a little, especially toward his teammates. Wild Pokémon still irritate him, though, particularly the little low-level ankle biters. He knocks them around with his tail because he can't be assed to fight them. That part's up to Zap-bro.

Blue-bro, whose real name is 'Damasco,' unbeknownst to Miyuki, was received when Marui disappeared from Johto.

He's not a particularly reliable Pokémon. Despite the implications behind the sturdiness of his shell and the old-age of his species, he is at best described as a 'delinquent.' He enjoys being able to produce waters at high velocities, and doesn't hesitate to show off just what that means in the grand scheme of things. Despite being a turtle, he eats like a horse.

Miyuki received Kero-chan from Sakura when she disappeared from Johto.

Kero-chan is named after Sakura's bear-like familiar, Keroberos. Kero-chan isn't anything like the thing he's named after. He's clumsy and tends to fall down more often than Sakura did. He drops things all the time. He's usually quiet and prefers to stay out of sight of the 'Gear when it's on. But he was Sakura's trusty friend who would happily stand in between her and a ghost type to protect her.

Now that he's Miyuki's Pokémon, he's devoted himself to ensuring that she's safe, as well. With her roster, he has a bit of competition, but he doesn't really mind — as long as Miyuki's okay.
